December Favourites

So i hope everyone one of you had a Christmas full of delightful smelling candles and all the mash potato you could dream for.

I feel like i haven't done a favourites in forever since my missed last months (my bad)
So i have gathered up a few things I've been loving over the past two months.

Mac Fix+: This has been part of a favourite combo of pretty much drowning a brush in this to apply my kiko shadow. It just makes the colour so much more vibrate and i love it i love it.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara: I got this during my little haul and oh my god how did i live without this, i have very few bottom lashes that may as well be non existent and this is my life saver and i don't think ill ever be starved of this product again.

Body Shop Glazed Apple Hand Cream: Im not one for apples, i pretty much hate them but when i smelt this i fell in love i was tempted to buy the whole apple collection. Whenever i whack this bad boy out everyone comments on the wonderful smell, seriously guys go smell it.

Nivea Caramel Cream Lip Butter: I recently rediscovered this in the bottom of a draw and now i know why i brought it the smell is insane as well as moisturising the lip and only being a couple of pound, bye vaseline.

Mac Cyber Lipstick: I've started to dabble in the lip colour and I've always been jealous of girls with a intense dark purple lip and spent most my life in the drugstore trying to find one that fulfils my needs. Its quite a draggy lipstick even though its satin finish, but a major tip here, lipliner or a lip brush, its not going to work otherwise.

Kiko 200 Wet & Dry Eye Shadow: I'd be lying if i said this hasn't been a favourite since October but always slipped my mind, this is my daily shadow, its a gorgeous goldy champagne and girl this combo mixed with Fix+ damn.

Benefit Rockateur: I was sold when it was decided as rose gold like every girl on the internet theres just something about rose gold that just makes you a bit hot under the collar. Its a gorgeous shade and i think it will be perfect for New Year Eve, the swatch doesn't do it benefit (ha, i'll be here all night)

Peppermint Hot Chocolate: This has been my go to bev, as if hot chocolate doesn't scream Christmas enough put a candy cane in there and your set, santa is on his way.

That was this months favourites, it was quite small but i have a feeling that January is going to be a good month with lots of new favourites.

Whats been your favourite this month?

Movie Night

If your anything like me, movie night is every night.
I must watch a film or a couple of programmes every night.

But I'm going all out on this movie night, I'm talking peppermint hot chocolate, lots of freshly washed fluffy blankets and of course a fuzzy animal of your choice.
I think its a perfect time since lets be honest who hasn't skinted themselves out due to Christmas? I know i have

5 films in one night, yeah ok pretty extreme but go hard or go home.
This usually starts in the early evening so brace yourselves.

Todays selection being:

Girl Interrupted: Im always down for a film that is quite dark, something that draws me in and i can't look away, especially when the beautiful Angelina Jolie is in it. Its quite a heavy starter film, but i couldn't wait to watch it.

Mean Girls: What is a movie night without a chick flick and Mean Girls is perfect for it, I'm yet to find a human being who doesn't love this film

22 Jump Street: I honestly forgot how funny this film was, it gave me cramps (my name is Jeff) I'm now just waiting for 38 jump street which is dance school, Channing in tights? Please.

The Grinch: Its less than a week to Christmas how couldn't i mention a Christmas film, i haven't watched the Grinch in years the last time i did it was on video, yes video. Forgot how funny it is and tragically how much i relate to the Grinch himself

The Breakfast Club: My all time favourite film, I'm not sure what it is about this film it could be the jazzy song on the credits or just how bad Bender is, if you haven't seen this film i would check it out, its not everyones cup of tea but it is a interesting film to watch.

This night should be broken up with a super yummy pepper mint hot chocolate, a takeaway i suggest pizza and if you want to go all out some home baking or popcorn.

You can do this with a friend or yourself.
Its just perfect to relax yourself before busyness of Christmas

What are your favourite films?

Christmas Guide 2014

I don't know about you, but i love me a good old Christmas guide but always end up wishing everyone i know watched them because i want all the things mentioned.

My first Christmasy post, yay.

Christmas Guides are always my life saver and i thought id just put together a few bits for ideas and inspiration.

Salted Caramel Yankee Candle (Medium) £16.49: I love candles but i don't always love spending a lot on a candle so they are great to get as a gift, my favourite being the salted caramel but pick whatever scents they like.

Nars Virtual Domination Cheek Palette £45: Bet you haven't seen this mentioned before, this is the perfect gift for a makeup addict, and i'm pretty sure they wouldn't buy this themselves when they are popping up in every gift guide

Aromatherapy Star £10: This is a perfect small gift to buy, as they can hang it up on the tree and comes with the most beautiful oil

Topshop Teddy Robe £32: Ok a bit pricy for a robe, but seriously if you've felt it, you'll understand why its in here! Its ridiculously soft and don't think people would usually think of this to buy for themselves

Lush Snow Fairy £22.50: Of course I'm going to mention something Lush and as i was scrolling online i saw this and knew it was the one, snow fairy is the best sweetest scent and i'd be over the moon if i got this and it also looks beautiful so you don't even need to wrap it.

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 £22: I was going to go with the Naked palette but i thought, this is the newest naked palette so not as many people will have this yet, and its a beautiful cool toned palette.

Essie Baby Its Cold Outside Quad £25: I wanted something for the nail lovers and i saw this little quad and thought the shades was really beautiful and i really liked the name of the quad, its so christmasy and cute aw.

Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Honey Bath £32: I would die if i unwrapped it, its such a luxury bath product that i would never buy for myself and if they are a bath lover, you are gonna get one massive cuddle.

Festive Coffee Syrups £8: These are the costa festive syrups you can buy them on ebay or pop into your store, perfect for coffee addicts like myself, and would make a nice secret santa or stocking filler and this year they have a brownie syrup (yum)

Instagram Magnets £12.50: This is a lovely idea for a gift, if its for a really close friend and i also think it would be great for a boy or a girl as long as they have 22 photos, i ordered these for my sister and its so personal and thoughtful and I'm sure anyone will love this, unless you print all their ugly selfies.

I always think that presents should be something the person your giving to wouldn't buy themselves, like a luxury product or something really thoughtful.

Hope this helped you if you're stuck on presents.

Any more good gift ideas?

Go-to Christmas Lip

I'm all for a Autumn berry lip
Its just something about December where its a struggle not to wear it everyday, because whenever i do, i'm just a walking bundle of Christmas.
Get me?

I'm fairly new to the lip world, it never really was my thing, as i never thought i could pull it off even when a few years back if you lips wasn't red you couldn't sit with us.
But I'm slowly starting to build my lip collection
But for today
Who would i be if i said it wasn't the cult classic
Rimmel Kate 107

This was actually the first lipstick i owned, when i was around 14 and i was pretty blown away with the watermelon scent, although i never was brave enough to wear it, i still liked to put it on in my bedroom and smell my lips.
Weird?
I don't remember it being this lovely deep berry shade, so when i put it on again this year i was shocked.

I remember this being really drying on my lips, but since i rebrought it as i lost my original, its actually quite creamy.
Also i don't remember it being this long lasting?!
Im sorry i ever doubted you little lipstick.

With any bold lip on a day look, i always keep eyes minimal so with just a ivory shade all over and then a wing.
I love this look, its so simple but bold.
Although i need to find a nice berry liner because i just think it completes the look and keeps it tidy
So if you have any suggestions you know what to do!

What are your Christmas lips?

Makeup Haul

Ok so here is yet another haul
Sadly my last one, but lets make it a good one shall we?

Theres a mix of high street and high end.
Now officially owning my first Nars products (yay)
And possibly the start of a expensive addiction (boo)

Naked palette: I've owned this before and mine was far too grotty and ugly to be shown to the public and i felt like i needed a new one and behold my new naked palette. I love Urban Decay, one of my favourites, and I'm sure I'm not the only one raving about this palette, it is beautiful and perfect for everyone and something about a new product that gets you all tingly inside when you pick it up.

Nars Laguna Bronzer: Ok this was my first Nars product and i heard wonderful things about this, its a perfect shade for even my pale skin and makes a lovely bronzer and a gorgeous contour shade.

KIKO Shadow Stick in 05: I love a good shadow stick from kiko and i fell in love, its a lovely rosy brown and is a gorgeous quick colour all over the lid then blended out and i love it for this time of the year.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige: I have wanted to get my hands on the leather effect forever and finally they've brought two shades out to the UK and i love this, its really creamy and matte and makes a good base colour.

Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer: I brought into the hype of this cult favourite after seeing endless amounts of people raving, so i thought hey why not, i doubt i need to say but this is probably in battle with Mac pro long for top place in my makeup, it sinks into your skin lovely and gives a good coverage and makes you all pretty and glowy.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara: I suffer from pretty much non existent bottom lashes so i decided i need this in my life and now i can't live without it, it actually gives me lashes and is going to be featured in a post soon (cheeky hint)

Benefit Gimme Brow: I've got lazy with my brows and after the Maybelline dupe didn't cut it and was brush was too big for my brows. I needed to go to the professional of the brows Benefit, i love running this through my brows on lazy days and they make them look fuller in seconds.

Rimmel Clear Brow Gel: Ok another brow product, but i brought this to set my brows in place for a long day when i decide to be adventurous and powder my brows in. It does the job for a super cheap price.

Rimmel 1000 Kisses in Tiramisu: I saw someone with this all over the lip and thought it looked beautiful but alas it was always out of stock until i wondered in there it was screaming buy me. Now its time for a sad story, i misplaced Tiramisu and now eagerly waiting to him to come back in stock.

Mac Fast Play: Being honest this was the best mistake i ever made, i done a misclick on Debenhams and got this instead of Rebel and fell in love its a lovely pinky dark nude and it goes hand in hand with the Tiramisu liner. My go-to look for sure.

Ok that is it for the makeup haul, although i may have already started collecting for the next haul, oops.

Normally i do favourites on the last Saturday, but i wanted to get the hauls out the way as it's been a couple of weeks, so a good old monthly favourites will be up next week!

Whats your favourite product?

Lush Haul

Ok yay
My all time favourite thing ever.
LUSH
Even better LUSH at Christmas time

Magic Wand Bubble Bar: Not only do i love the bells and have great fun making sweet sweet music in the bath, but this is snow fairy scented and all sure you know what delight that is to your nose, a sweet candy almost gonna eat it scent.

Yog Nog Soap: Hard soap is unheard of in my life until i smelt this and just had to have it. It smells like christmas spices and although i do drop it a few times, i love washing with this, i feel like Santa will buy me more presents because i smell this good.

Northern Lights Bath Bomb: This is a floral smell, and although i prefer smelling like a candy shop, i loved this because its like a firework, i was bathing in a firework.

Star Light Star Bright Bath Melt: I'm not usually a fan of the glitter but i brought this as i wanted a little bit of bath melting in my life and I'm trying really hard to think of what scent this is similar too but i can't think, its fruity but i feel like theres a little bit of lavender like if you sniff hard enough you'll get a bit.
Golden Wonder Bath Bomb: Theres no doubt about it, this is a fruity scent and looks beautiful and if you can see a bit of gold wore off and revealed a magical blue bath! Am i the only one who didn't see this coming? Probably.

Father Christmas Bath Bomb: Ok this is snow fairy but whereas the Magic Ward is really sweet like the shower gel this one is a lighter snow fairy but I'm not sure if my nose is a bit messed up from all these scents but it smells a tiny bit nutty, like coconut maybe? Just me?

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb: Best till late, oh my god guys i can't tell you how in love i am with this, its like no scent I've ever smelt before, when i smell this my nose literally jumps up and down with joy. Like my favourite is Twilight and this is similar smell but just 10x's better.

As much as i wish this haul was twice the size, alas it isn't and this post has come to a end.

Liebster Award

I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Becky from Beauty Under the Sea. Thank you by the way Becky! It was so nice to be nominated and especially from Becky as i do love her blog.

Here are the rules:
1. Link back to the person that nominated you.
2. Answer the questions given by the nominator.
3. Nominate 11 other bloggers with less than 200 followers.
4: Create 11 questions for the nominees.
5: Notify all nominees via social media/ blog.

Ok so now that's out the way..

Becky's questions:
1. If you could re-live any moment in your life, what would it be?
Going to be a child and say it would be Disney World Paris, I absolutely love Disney and theme parks, so it killed two birds with one stone, another factor of why I would want to go back is that I was 10 and got Goofy's autograph (claim to fame?)
2. What song could you listen to on repeat, and not get tired of?
Defying Gravity: Wicked.
3. What did you initially think when your blog started growing?
My blog is still small, but when i hit 50 followers, i may of got a bit too happy and rewarded myself with a trip to Lush.
4. If you could only pick one beauty item to take with you on vacation, what would you take?
I would of said Urban Decay: Naked Flushed, but alas i accidentally broke it the other day, I'd be lying if I said I didn't tear up.
5. Did you think you would be where you are today a year ago?
Yes and no, I never thought I'd actually start a blog and it was always just a bit of a day dream, but other than that besides a few bumps in the road, pretty much the same.
6. What are you most looking forward to in this next year?
The summer. Now I don't have to slave my life away in the summer time, I'm looking forward to being a teenager, going on holiday, festivals and just lazing around.
7. Your at the movies, what is your must-have snack to have?
I'm a drink person more than a food person, I'd love a Ben and Jerry's milkshake but if the tango ice blast machine is working, I'll be on that.
8. Have you ever thought about starting your own YouTube channel? If you have one already, what motivated you to start it?
I have, I thought of it before starting a blog, but I don't think I'm quite ready to do that and I'm far too unphotogenic.
9. What is your favorite quality about yourself?
I found this question actually really hard (oh) but I don't want to big myself up or anything, but I get told I'm funny, so I'll go with that.
10. What motivates you to write a blog post?
It could be a video or blog I read or it'll be something really random, like it'll pop in my head and I'll write it in my book, but I normally use a fresh idea or I pick whatever idea I fancy.
11. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
Sephora. Is that bad but it's literally like all I think about, why oh why was I born in England.

Nominees:
I don't have 11 blogs that I follow under 200 but I keep it under 500 (oops)

My questions for you are:
1. Who is your favourite youtuber and why?
2. Do you have anything to look forward to in the near future and what is it?
3. What's one thing you do to relax?
4. Top 3 nail varnishes brand and colour?
5. Makeup product you couldn't live without?
6. Tea or coffee?
7. Whats your most used app on your phone?
8. Whats your favourite to candle to burn?
9. What do you prefer morning routine or evening routines?
10. Favourite thing about blogging?
11. One meal for the rest of your life, what is it?

Looking forward to reading your posts!
Thanks again for the nomination Becky

Clothing & Candle Haul

Haul time!
Part one of three (yay)

Quite a small one but hey ho.

So I'm really bad at photography can you tell? Most likely.

Anyway from the left to the right;

I thought it was time for me to invest in a simple black dress and this one was only £8.99 from Newlook and had a cute little zip at the back which just added a nice touch.

I brought a burgundy turtle neck jumper from Topshop as it's far too cold to not invest in one although it was £30 it was still worth it so warm and soft.

I saw this and was just like mermaid, ok I don't need another crop top but I love this and I feel like its Christmasy so I guess that's an acceptable excuse.

This is my favourite, I couldn't get over how much i'm inlove with this and for £34 pound it just had to come home with me, i've worn this so much already opps.

I gave into the capes didn't I this one is from Newlook for £19.99 but that's the price for a scarf these days and its suitable for this weather with a black sleeve top.

These shoes are heaven although the 5 is too big and 4 too small so I have to wear a few pairs of socks but wow. The only down side is that they are velvet so you have to avoid the rain

On to the sweeter side of this haul.
I found a yankee shop and after a good hour smelling each candle i thought i deserved two candles.
The chocolate layer cake is insane, although it makes me hungry it smells like happiness, and the scent is so strong that you don't even need to light it to smell the goodness.
Christmas memories i can only imagine smelling like a kitchen in a good old American Christmas film, it smells like cinnamon and gingerbread and it just works so well rather than the two scents separately.
If you walk past a yankee shop give these beauties a smell

I picked these up for Christmas decor but then i smelt them and i actually loved the scent and was really impressed for the price (£1.50!) and the appearance.
They nailed it really, it has a sweet cinnamon smell, im not sure how they burn but i cant wait till December nights cuddled up with netflix and these lit.

Ok thats it for the haul, i thought i'd get the unbeauty related one out the way first.

So look out at the weekend for part two and three!

Hope you liked this haul

FOTD

This is just a really casual everyday look.
But maybe just a little bit more than everyday.
Get me?

If you'd look past the towel dress, it'll be fine

First I applied my foundation Revlon colour stay in buff mixed with YSL fusion foundation in B10 using a flat kabuki brush. For concealing under eye and blemishes I used Mac Prolong Concealer in NW15. Bronzing with Soap and Glory Solar Powder, contouring with Benefit Hoola and both the highlight and blush are from Urban Decay Flushed in Native, the highlight in there is insane and my favourite!

For brows I used the wax end of Soap and Glory Archery in brownie points. I used the Maybelline colour tattoo in creamy beige all over my lid and blended into my crease just using my fingers I tried to link it down below but online it isn't available but pop into your local stores and I'm sure it'll be there. I decided on a feline eye using my trusty Soap and Glory supercat eyeliner. My new favourite mascara Urban Decay Perversion, it really makes your lashes 10x better especially if you have little ones like e, I  have really small bottom lashes I use Benefit they're real as the Perversion brush is big.

For my lips i used Rimmel 1000 kisses lip liner in Tiramisu and put it all over my lip, i love this pencil its such a long lasting cheap liner and i love the shade

After writing this post, I've realised that Soap and Glory pops up a lot in my makeup routines but oh well.

Spot Cleaning Brushes

I'm so lazy when it comes to cleaning brushes.
And I'm not going to lie to you, I mostly spot clean instead of that full on finger wrinkling wash which means you cannot use the brushes until the next day.

I'm sure you all know how to do this, but if  you was a newbie like me I wasted after the bottle on doing it wrong.

So sometimes i like to have the 'dirty brush pot' which are full of brushes like below who need a good scrubbing.
And to my disappointment was quite a lot.

Then all you need is the brush solution, some paper towels and of course your brushes, you may also want an empty pot to put your clean brushes into because its so satisfying seeing them clean brushes.
If anyone has a cheap solution for brushes lemme know.

Then just pour a bit of solution on the paper towel swirl your brush around, and pretty sure you'll have a little piece of artwork on every towel, then pop the clean brush into the 'clean pot' and keep going.

Then here is the most satisfying part, a pot of clean brushes.
I don't think there is anything more rewarding than this.

The good thing about spot cleaning is that the brushes dry super quick and you can 10 minutes after.

Well I hope this has gave you a better idea on how to spot clean, although you probably already knew but heyho.

On a exciting note, the last of my haul arrived today, which means I can now upload my 3 part haul.
Which will be uploaded next weekend if not sooner.

Got any brush tips?

October Favourites

Happy November!

So my original plan this week was to post everyday and it all be rainbows and unicorns, alas in reality my imac broke just after I done the 'work motivation' post, clearly he didn't fall for it and decided to be taken away for a week.
Which is disappointing as I have a couple of hauls I need to put up, but don't worry buttercups, they will be up within the next couple of weeks.

Anyway onto the point, favourites.

So once again it hasn't been the most fun packed adventurous month, but I feel like November will be.

Bourjois Nail polish remover: This stuff is like beautiful singing in the back of my head like 'aaaaah' in a perfect tone, I avoid painting my nails due to the fact I have every chip prone nails and it was always a task painting it to remove it again and this wow, you just dip your finger in give it a twist and boom the polish is gone.

Lady 1 million: I got this for my birthday and I wasn't ready to give up Marc Jacobs Daisy quite then and during October, I'm like daisy who? I'll attempt to describe the smell by spraying it several times and just being amazed, I find it quite fruity yet floral, but seriously give it a sniff.

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub: I brought this a while back (mostly for its insane smell) and I never really reached for it but this month I've been wearing matte shades and lip liners and my lips have be dry and I like to scrub my lips and then put on my favourite lip balm.

Balmi Strawberry Lip Balm: Another one of those buy it and put it aside for a rainy day, and oh man as soon as I opened it I knew why I brought it, the smell is gorgeous and me and this little balmi have been though a lot, but I love the smell, I love the shape, I love what it does to my lips, LOVE.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer: I've loved this for many months and since I've hit pan, yes I hit pan that's when you know its love, I've just been that little more in love with it, its perfect for any skin type even my ivory skin, it makes your cheek bones like boom, and I need to rebuy now!

Soap & Glory Archery: Another one of those that I've loved for a long time, but since rebuying a new one and its freshness, I just cant put it down, I use both ends depending on my eyebrow status, but lately the wax end is the one for me, but I may of brought the new Soap & Glory Archery, so lets see who ends up on top? I see a battle in the future.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer: This is my 'special' concealer as I dread the day it comes to a end as I have a long list of concealers I want to try, so I use this on days that I really want to look amazing, this is perfect for under the eyes and blemishes.

Baking: This month I have been baking a lot, mostly unhealthy, such as cakes, brownies, cookies, cupcakes. My personal favourite this month was recreating Tanya Burrs Oreo cupcakes and oh my goodness, seriously you need to bake these. So yummy.

That's it for my months favourites, as soon as my mac has been returned I will start putting up posts, as I don't think I can keep these in the bag must longer.
This blogging from anothers laptop hasn't been a fan of mine, pray for my mac guys.

Hope you liked this post

Work Motivation

Ok, so i don't know if its only me who has been given loads of coursework to do over this half term.
Such as a personal statement for uni (scary)

Anyway, like most people (i hope) i lack motivation in almost anything educational or involves moving away from the fun side of the internet.

I tried to make my desk a little more work friendly in hope that it'll make me work.

Ok so more than 95% of the time i'll have a drink with me, and i picked up a couple funky little sippy cup type of thing from Urban Outfitters saying 'Drinking with my bitches' and 'Its just water i swear' and in-between food shops only had water in.

Then i have my little notebook where i just put down all my ideas for blog posts etc.

Then i thought energy would be needed so i made myself a cinnamon latte which was amazing.

Of course how can you do work without a beautiful candle lit, mine Autumn candle is Yankee 'Spiced Orange' i didn't think i would like this, but I'm in love.

Then i have little bits for pick me ups, such as my all time favourite hand gel from Soap & Glory Hand Maid, some tic tacs which i realised i really enjoy seeing as that box is nearly all gone and some Balmi strawberry lip balm which i just love and may of just paused and applied this right now.

My current sketch book and a beautiful double sided check list which isn't half complete and it makes me want to cry.

Then i always like a good old playlist and i thought this one may of been good which is 'Young, Wild & Free' but it had Spice Girls on and well how does one listen to Spice Girls and not dance around and snapchat, so i changed it for maybe a new favourite playlist 'Acoustic Afternoon' its so relaxing and defiantly puts me in a relaxed working mood.

Well these are just some little bits to put on your desk to try and make you get your work finished.

Any other tips i should try?

St Tropez Express Tan review

So today is a little review for you guys.
Something that is every pale girls best friend.

The St Tropez Self Tan Express.

Basically, the consistency of this is exactly, if not similar to the St Tropez Bronzing Mousse but without you having that uncomfortable sticky sleep with your once white now orange sheets.
Orange sheets being one of the reasons i jumped on the express tan wagon.

This is every persons dream if you only want a light tan as you only have to sit around with it for a hour, but if you want a dark tan it'll take three hours, which isn't too bad because you can make some snacks and watch a film and then just go to wash it off. I apply this with just a mitt and it goes on great but don't forget to moisturise your knees, ankles and elbows before.

The outcome of this tan is amazing, it leaves you all bronzed and glowing, and just looks like you have been to a really hot country when in reality you sat in your room.

There are a couple of downsides to this as its not all wash it off and you're ready to go, although it leaves a light tan as soon as you wash off the base, it takes 8 hours to fully develop. So its not a throw it on and go, so i best advice you do this in the morning.

The formula of this is quite sticky but then again which tan isn't?
I'm just happy that i don't have to stick to my bedsheets.
It leaves you a nice tan but for the best results i would reapply every week just to make sure you maintain the beauty of the tan.

With fake tan i don't put it on my face as i don't see the point in clogging your pores especially as i have breakout prone skin when you can just find the same colour foundation.

Overall i love this as i find it easier than sleeping in it and gives the same if not better results because i find that sleeping in tan can leave it quite patchy. St Tropez is quite a high end brand for tanning but it does give amazing results and usually on deals in various places. But yeah check it out if you love tanning.

Any more tanners i should try out?
